Note: submission date now 4th April

We are delighted to be back hosting the Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge 2022.

This is Scotland’s largest inclusive schools choir initiative. Each year the Challenge engages with thousands of primary school children creating opportunities and benefits for school communities across Scotland. We also provide access to a range of resources for participating schools including videos, lesson plans, backing tracks and lyrics.

Had it not been for Covid-19, 2022 would have been our tenth consecutive year of delivering the Challenge so what better time than this to make a comeback. However, due to the continued uncertainty we have had to make changes for this year. So please read on and join us in bringing joy back to our schools

Despite the amazing work by our team over the years and the various Challenges we created during lockdown we still receive no external funding and of course with no live events that means that The Frisson Foundation has had no income. This is not sustainable and this year to help with our costs we will be asking schools to pay a small registration fee of £35 to join us and a registration fee of £25 for additional choirs.

The Challenge-Phases

Phase 1 – we are inviting schools to form a Glee Choir and submit a video of their choir performing two songs (set song, to be announced shortly and one other of their own choosing).

Phase 2 – the videos will be assessed by our judges who will select choirs for Regional Finals

Phase 3 – selected choirs will be invited to attend one of the Regional Finals, which we hope to hold after the Spring Break  (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).

Phase 4 – the winning choirs from each of the Regional Finals, along with next the top scoring choirs across all regions, will be invited to join the National Final. Again, Covid-19 restrictions permitting
