SIGN AT THE GATE MMD An overview

We will send a link to all registered schools to allow them to connect to the livestream, which will allow the school to join in with the performance. Schools will need access to a digital screen for this.

Make Music Day broadcast will begin with a few minutes of pre-performance footage (pre-cut), showing how children across the country have engaged. We would like schools to send in little 30 second videos of their group(s) saying/signing "Hello" from their school or signing part of the song, etc. By no later than 14th June.

There will be a ’10 second countdown’ before the start of the live streamed performance and we would invite schools to take part in countdown and join in live with the sign-along. The song for Make Music Day is ‘Stand by Me'

Schools can participate in any which way they can using the Make Music Day version, or any other version of the song; whatever works best for the school.

We encourage all schools to sign the song using the BSL/SSE guide provided but Covid restrictions permitting you may also sing.

Alternatively, choose from the plethora of ensemble arrangements available for you, e.g., Big Band, Orchestra, String Orchestra, Ukulele Ensemble, Recorder Ensemble, Boomwhackers, Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Ensemble, Bucket Drums, Stick Percussion
