GIVING MUSIC A VOICE

At all successful schools the pupil voice is at the heart of school life and everything they do. Through School Pupil Councils, Make a Difference Groups or similarly titled groups, pupils lead discussions on school life often with dedicated seats for ECO Warriors, STEM leaders, Sports Ambassadors, Digital leaders and Reading Ambassadors. These roles reflect a schools commitment to nurturing the diverse range of talents and passions within their school.
However, one vital element is missing: music
Our new project - Glee Singing Ambassadors© - we believe will give music and song the place it deserves at the centre of our School Communities. Our Glee Singing Ambassadors © will champion, the joy of singing, celebrate musical expressio, and ensure that song becomes a vibrant and visible part of daily school life. We hope in turn to expand the scheme to schools other than those involved with Glee for 2026/27.
This new role will empower pupils to lead singing across the school, spread the work of their Glee choir, help with the Glee Choir, help with singing events from assemblies to Christmas caroling and special events, and help bring music into classrooms, corridors and playgrounds.
We hope to provide a structured and engaging approach to give music a voice and a seat in school pupil councils across the country.
